About TDC Implant Centre

TDC Implant Centres were founded by Lead Surgeon Dr Michael Zybutz, a UK registered Specialist Periodontist, and his brother, Advanced Aesthetic Dentist, Dr Anthony Zybutz. We are highly experienced in same-day restoration of teeth on dental implants and have successfully performed hundreds of full arch Smile in a Day implant procedures. We routinely treat patients told that they are not suitable for dental implants, including those with extreme bone loss.

We welcome referrals from dentists. Referring to us will ensure that your patient gets top quality treatment from a highly proficient and caring team. If you prefer, we will partner with you by training you to become involved in the restoration of Smile in a Day implants in your practice.

Our background

The dental teams that carry out our Smile in a Day procedure in our Harley Street, Peterborough and Folkestone clinics are hand-picked clinicians with appropriate specialist experience and qualifications. In-house training and CPD allows us to maintain our commitment to excellent standards. We believe that working with referring dentists should be easy for the referrer and an educational experience where appropriate. We welcome less experienced dentists and will hold your hand through the procedure when you need support.

We have a commitment to excellence in everything we do, which includes the qualifications and skill of our dental professionals, the fact that we use only the highest quality materials and components with proven success and that we make patient care our highest priority. The cost of treatment is clear and easy to understand. Patients are simply charged a single all-inclusive fee that covers the entire restorative and surgical procedure. If sedation is needed there is a fee payable to the sedationist. There are no hidden extras.

See About Us link for more details.

The Smile in a Day procedure

Our Smile in a Day same-day dental implants change our patients’ lives. People who have endured years of discomfort and embarrassment are able to smile again, eat any food they want, forget dental pain and above all, regain confidence. Please feel free to browse our independent review section to see what patients say about their experience with the procedure and the effect it has had on their lives.

Advances in dental implant technology mean that patients can now be treated and receive their new teeth in a single surgical visit. The Cochrane Review of the literature confirms that immediately placed and restored implants have a success rate that is as good as or better than standard implant protocols. This ties in with our experience. Our immediately restored implants have a greater than 99% success rate (osseointegration).

What does it involve?

The long-term dental health of patients and their implants is vital to us. We want our patients’ implants to last a lifetime. From initial examination through treatment our approach is thorough and comprehensive to provide the patient with the best treatment option and outcome and to support our referring dentists.

We use the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies including Cone Beam CT, 3D printing and CAD/CAM precision-milled titanium bars. During surgery, usually under IV sedation to ensure the experience is as stress free as possible, each arch of teeth is replaced with a fixed-hybrid detachable prosthesis (customised and fabricated prior to surgery in our state of the art laboratory). Sedation takes place with an additional sedationist who specialises in providing sedation for dental procedures.

On the day of surgery, any remaining teeth are removed and at least four implants are placed in each arch, maximising utilisation of the existing bone. All our patients and work surfaces are fully prepped and draped utilising single-use sterile drapes to protect against infection, and our whole team is thoroughly trained in optimal infection control procedures. The final teeth are reinforced by a CAD/CAM bar precision milled from a solid block of titanium for strength. The teeth are made eight to ten weeks after the first appointment as there is always some shrinkage of the soft tissues that needs to be accounted for in the prosthesis.
